The Welfare Action Group is an activist, left-wing group that organises around economic and social issues relevant to students. We are anti-capitalist and anti-colonial, and work to improve the conditions of students, and fight against oppressive systems against inequality and discrimination.
Our priorities include: workers (employed or not) rights and unionism, solidarity with, and fighting for First Nations justice, a campaign for safe and affordable housing for all, safety on campus, and the adequate provision of student services.
If organising and campaigning for these issues interests you, join the Welfare Action Group on Facebook! Anyone can join.
Email email@example.com or message the Facebook page if you have any questions!
Eleanor Douglas, Ella Haid, Harrison Brennan and Felix Tonkin are the 2023 SRC Welfare Officers.
