Orientation Support Services
Over the past week I have been working with the University student support services staff and executives on trying to enhance student experiences during orientation. What did you think the University could have helped with more during your commencement at USYD? What do you think is a prevalent student support issue right now? Send your thoughts to firstname.lastname@example.org to give us some ideas on how the SRC and the University can both better support students starting USYD in Semester 2!
Lack of Study Space Available
Recently the SRC has received a few reports about the lack of study spaces available around the campus for students, especially as exam periods approach. This is an issue that we have been following up on. If any student feels the same way or has a suggestion or two to raise, please send your thoughts to email@example.com.
University Crisis Support Line
With the exam period approaching, it’s important to take care of yourself and seek help if you need it. The University’s new after-hours Crisis Line is available to provide immediate counselling support to students experiencing distress between 9am and 5pm on weekdays and 24 hours on weekends. Call 1300 474 065 or text 0488 884 429 for SMS chat to find out more about mental health support at the University.
